Rumsfeld is inspired by God ?

I grew up quite religious. First as a Catholic then part of a Bible-reading fundalmentalist group. At age 10 in could name every book of the Bible (King James version, of course) faster than anyone else in our junior bible study group.

When I grew older and matured, I noticed that their political activism had little to do with the message of helping the poor, protecting the weak, or even charity.

I saw the hypocrisy between the private and political messages that leaders in the ministry expoused. Using God for personal aims is plain wrong and, if you believe, there is a special place in hell whether you go for the Dantesque version or the Karma they created for themselves.

That why this crap terrifies me: Top US general says Rumsfeld is inspired by God:
MIAMI (AFP) - The top US general defended the leadership of Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, saying it is inspired by God.

"He leads in a way that the good Lord tells him is best for our country," said Marine General Peter Pace, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

For some Christian groups there is God, and there is the god of this world, i.e. Satan.

So is Rumsfeld working for the Prince of Peace or working for the gods of wars and pestilence?

Wolves in sheep's clothing and all that...
